Let’s Kreuze(r) to a brighter future

As a lifelong resident of Western New York, I'm deeply invested in the future of Mendon and well-prepared to serve on the Town Board.

My roots in the community run deep; I started my family in Lima in 1998 before settling in Honeoye Falls in 2007. My three children and two stepchildren all graduated from the Honeoye Falls-Lima school district, and I'm incredibly proud of the world-class education and opportunities they received.

My children benefited profoundly from having dedicated teachers, a challenging curriculum, and exceptional extracurricular programs. Whether they were learning in the classroom, performing with the acclaimed music ensembles, or competing on the athletic field.

I am grateful to HFL and the community for providing my children with the tools and support they needed to succeed.

Community Involvement

Over the years I've volunteered in a number of capacities at our schools, with community groups like 4-H, at the Seneca Park Zoo, as well as with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

My professional career has been dedicated to addressing complex challenges and finding innovative solutions. As a Senior Advisor at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, I lead multi-million-dollar projects focused on advancing clean energy solutions, including hydrogen, geothermal energy, and critical mineral supply chains. This work requires me to navigate intricate policy landscapes, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and effectively manage complex projects – skills I believe are invaluable for effective town governance.

Importantly, much of my work involves partnering directly with communities to understand their needs and co-develop solutions that are equitable, sustainable, and responsive to local concerns—experience that has taught me how to listen, collaborate, and build trust across different perspectives, which I will bring to every decision I make on the Mendon Town Board.

  • Giving to our community is and has always been important to me, and I'm happy to share some of the ways I've been involved over the years:

    • Co-Leader of a local community group that promotes education and acts of kindness in Honeoye Falls - Mendon

    • Regular classroom volunteer at Lima Primary and the Manor school

    • Second Steps instructor (a pro-social / anti-bullying initiative) for HFL Primary schools

    • HF-L Music Boosters Member

    • Youth summer soccer coach

    • 4H Group leader

    • Organizer of the “Plastic Bag Project” that spearheaded the sale of canvas bags in our area

    • Co-Chair of the HFL Earth Day Committee

    • Seneca Park Zoo Docent

    • NYS DEC Volunteer

  • Mendon is a special place – a community blessed with natural beauty, a strong sense of community, and a rich history. Our strategic vision focuses on preserving these assets while thoughtfully planning for a sustainable and prosperous future. I also strongly believe in a community-benchmarked, transparent, and responsive local government that creates a welcoming environment for all residents.

  • Earning my doctorate from the University of Rochester as a single mother and first-time homeowner instilled in me a profound appreciation for the challenges facing families in our community. I understand the importance of access to quality education, affordable housing, and a strong support system. I know for a fact that without the good people of Mendon it wouldn’t have been possible for me to navigate those challenges, complete my degree, or build my financial independence. I am deeply grateful for the support they afforded to me.

I now serve as a Senior Advisor at a National Laboratory, where I remotely design, lead, and manage multi-million-dollar federal projects that focus on advancement of affordable clean energy in sectors like hydrogen and geothermal, as well as strengthening our domestic critical minerals supply. These projects involve the careful integration of science, policy, and complex social issues, requiring me to navigate diverse perspectives and build consensus among diverse stakeholders. Prior to my career with the lab, I worked for Stantec Consulting as a Senior Geochemist where I made technical contributions to a variety of projects, including stray gas investigations and remediation of groundwater contaminated by pollutants such as TCE, arsenic and lead.

  • I believe that my journey—from a young, married stay-at-home mom, to a single mother working hard to make ends meet, to becoming a research scientist, and now a strategic advisor and clean energy program manager—has given me a unique perspective on the challenges and strengths within our town. I bring not only strategic planning, budget management, and collaborative problem-solving skills, but also empathy, compassion, and a deep commitment to listening and serving all members of our community.

I’m running to give back to the community that has given my family so much—a place where my children grew up, where I’ve built lifelong relationships, and where I want others to feel equally at home and supported.

I’m running to ensure our seniors can age in place with dignity, our working families can afford to stay here, every member of our community feels welcome, safe, and valued, and our town’s decisions are transparent, fair, and focused on long-term social, economic, and evnironmental well-being.

Using my experience securing grants, leading large multii-disciplinary projects that have complex social and political dynamics, I want to work to protect Mendon’s natural beauty, expand housing options responsibly, strengthen community services, and stand up for those who are too often left out of the conversation.

This is my home—and I believe Mendon deserves leadership that brings people together, looks for the big picture, and never loses sight of the people who call this place home.
