Supporting our community services is essential to maintaining Mendon’s safety, education, and overall quality of life. Our volunteer Fire and Emergency Services personnel are the backbone of our town’s public safety, and we must ensure they have the resources and support needed to attract and retain new volunteers. We will work to advocate for additional tax incentives at the state level to recognize and reward those who dedicate their time to keeping our community safe.

Additionally, we believe in expanding opportunities for lifelong learning and innovation. Exploring a local library expansion to include a ‘Makers Space’ would provide residents of all ages with a creative and educational hub, further strengthening Mendon’s commitment to knowledge and community engagement. By working together, we can ensure our essential services continue to thrive while adapting to the evolving needs of our town.

A strong local economy is vital to Mendon’s long-term success, and we believe we can foster growth while preserving the charm that makes our town unique. Encouraging the redevelopment of vacant properties will help revitalize underutilized spaces, creating new opportunities for businesses and residents alike.

To support local businesses, we should streamline the approval process for licenses, expansions, and renovations—making it easier for entrepreneurs and small business owners to invest in our community without unnecessary delays.

Additionally, we want to explore designating a business incubator in partnership with local educational institutions, providing resources and mentorship for startups and small businesses. By fostering innovation and economic opportunity, we can strengthen Mendon’s economy while maintaining its welcoming, small-town feel.
